By Railways : The nearest railway station from the main town of Darjeeling is in New Jalpaiguri which is 62 km away. The station is connected with major cities like Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Kolkata and Mumbai. The toy train from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling connects the cities for transfer.
Summers can be the best time to visit Darjelling for leisure. For adventure and some fun winter can be the ideal season for Darjeeling tour.
Pak well with sports shoes as you need to trek a lot to reach the destination. Not every place in Darjeeling has a good transport route.
