We have designed this tour packages by focusing on the main sightseeings according to other travellers, but here you can customize this tour as you desire.
Upon your arrival in Delhi, a member of our team will be waiting to greet you at the airport, and accompany you to the Leela Palace New Delhi. The rest of the day is at your leisure to settle in and enjoy your fabulous surroundings at the Leela Palace. Before leaving you to relax, our representative will brief you on the plan for tomorrow, answer any questions you might have, and provide you with our welcome kit and a complimentary local phone – yours for the duration of your stay with us. The complimentary phone we provide allows you to easily get in touch with your chauffeur should you wish to head out in the evening or further explore during your time at leisure; similarly, we are only a quick call away should you have a problem or a question.
Explore both Old & New Delhi on a guided tour. Sights to see include the Jama Masjid, Qutab Minar, India Gate, Parliament House and Gandhi’s house. Sightseeing is flexible to your preferences, and you may let your Delhi specialist know your interests; he will then tailor the day’s sightseeing to you. Return to the luxurious Leela Palace in the evening. We’d recommend dining at one of the hotel’s four award winning restaurants, though your chauffeur is always on hand should you wish to dine out.
Upon arrival in Agra, check in to the Oberoi Amarvilas. Here, you will catch your first glimpse of the magnificent Taj from the comfort of your very own bay window (for an extra special touch, ask for a Premier Room with Balcony – looking out over the Taj Mahal from your private balcony is an impossibly romantic experience). In the evening, your local guide will collect you for a sunset tour of Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal. As the setting sun hits the magnificent monument, the marble glows with an orange hue.
This morning, you’ll drive to Bharatpur to catch the train to Ranthambhore. Visit the abandoned Mughal fort-palace of Fatehpur Sikri on your way to Bharatpur. Upon arriving in Ranthambhore in the early evening, your representative will meet you at the platform where you’ll transfer to the opulent Oberoi Vanyavilas, for a two night stay in a Luxury Tent.
Enjoy a full day of safaris in Ranthambhore National Park. Ranthambhore is well known as one of the best spots in the world to view the majestic Bengal Tiger in it’s naturabl habitat. Other species to watch out for include; sloth bear, crocodiles, eagles, peacocks, monkeys, deer, leopards and a large array of exotic birds and plant life.
After breakfast, your chauffeur will drive you to Jaipur. Upon arriving in Jaipur, you’ll be assisted with checking in to the opulent Oberoi Rajvilas, for a two night stay. Alternatively, you might prefer to stay at the luxurious Taj Rambagh Palace. You could also spend one night in each of these two fabulous hotels.
A full day of guided sightseeing in the Pink City. An elephant ride in Jaipur through the ancient Amber Fort and a tour of the City Palace will show you the best of Jaipur. You will also visit the Jantar Mantar observatory, along with Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) and Jal Mahal (Water Palace). This evening you’ll return to your luxury resort for dinner. We can make dinner reservations for you at the Taj Rambagh Palace, if you would like to experience this royal palace. Likewise, if you would prefer to stay at the Rambagh Palace, we can also make reservations at the Oberoi Rajvilas for dinner.
A drive through the scenic Aravalli hills today takes you to Jodhpur – Rajasthan’s fabled Blue City – for a two night stay at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace. Recently voted by TripAdvisor as the World’s Best Hotel 2016, the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace is opulent enough to make even the most discerning of guests nod their approval. Fit for a king, the Maharaja of Jodhpur himself still lives here at the palace and can often be seen walking his dogs on the vast grounds. This evening, enjoy a guided walking through the palace, followed by a glass of sparkling wine at the bar, pretending you’ve stepped back in time. Alternatively, stay at the characterful Raas hotel in Jodhpur – another of our favourites. Those who prefer to stay in a central location and immerse themselves in the city will be happier at Raas, whilst though who value history, space and grandeur will prefer the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace..
A guided tour of the Blue City today will introduce you to Jaswant Thada and the majestic Mehrangarh Fort. Continue this afternoon with a walking tour through the labyrinthine lanes of the old city, or take a Jeep safari out to Osian on the edge of the Thar desert, to take in the 8th century temple complex and visit a local Dhani (village) for a fascinating insight into a different way of life.
This morning you’ll continue to the fairy-tale like city of Udaipur. On the way, break your journey in Ranakpur, to explore one of India’s most elaborately carved temples. Upon arriving in Udaipur, the rest of the evening is free to enjoy Rajasthan’s most romantic city. Udaipur is abundant with lakes and ancient water palaces. Your first night in Udaipur will be spent relishing the luxuries of the Oberoi Udaivilas. The Udaivilas was voted in 2017 as the ‘Best Hotel in the World’, by readers of Travel + Leisure magazine.
Today you’ll be accompanied by your guide to explore the city of Udaipur. To begin, a walking tour through the narrow streets of the old city will take you through winding streets teeming with shops selling clothing, silver jewellery, and leather-bound journals. You’ll shortly approach the City Palace – this sprawling palace is the largest in Rajasthan and stands on a ridge overlooking the lake. Cupolas crown its octagonal towers, which are connected by a maze of narrow passageways. The rooms inside the City Palace all contain decorative art: beautiful paintings, colourful enamel, inlay glass-work, and antique furniture. You’ll also explore the 17th century Jagdish temple and Saheliyon-ki-Bari (a beautiful rose garden). Other sights you may like to cover include the Monsoon Palace and the Vintage Car Museum.
Later today, you’ll take a short boat-ride over Lake Pichola to reach the iconic Taj Lake Palace, to check in for an overnight stay. This 250-year-old white marble palace floats like a mirage in the middle of Lake Pichola and looks dazzling from the shore. It was originally built as a summer retreat by Maharana Jagjit Singh who ruled Jaipur in the 17th century.
The morning is free to relax and enjoy one of India’s finest hotels, or explore the easy-going town of Udaipur further at your own pace. This afternoon, you’ll board a flight back to Delhi for an overnight stay at the Oberoi Gurgaon.
Your driver will escort you back to Delhi IGI airport, in time for your departing flight. If your flight is leaving early this morning, it would be our pleasure to arrange a packed breakfast from the hotel, which you can then enjoy on the way to the airport. Optionally, rather than retrace your steps back to Delhi, you may prefer to end in Mumbai with a two night stay at the famed Taj Mahal Palace, The Oberoi Mumbai, or The Leela Mumbai. The possibilities don’t end there: those with a keen interest in colonial history may like to extend their journey with a stay at the Oberoi Grand in Kolkata, or take in the fabulous Himalayan foothills at the Oberoi Wildflower Hall in Shimla. Alternatively, end with a few days on the beach staying at The Leela Kovalam or The Leela Goa. All our tours are private and tailor-made to complement your tastes and interests – the itinerary described above is really just a starting point and together we can refine it into your ideal Indian experience.
